Hersheypark 2011 Trip Report
July 27, 2011

Random flat ride shots:

Mad props for any park with Flying Scooters! Hersheypark is one of those places where you'll find multi-million dollar roller coasters AND simple little pleasures like this one. Thumbs up.

And check out the mini-Scrambler for the tykes! Adorable.

Wave Swingers are pretty.

Okay, more coasters.

So, yeah, The Wildcat. As Great Coasters' first installation, it's an important ride. The last time I rode, it still had the PTC rolling stock. And it was pretty rough. Now it's rocking the Millennium Flyer trains, so I was looking forward to something with a bit less bite.

So very handsome, these trains. Love them to death.

It's an impressive ride, for sure. But it still does bite. And scratch alittle. Mean kitty!

Another looker, most definitely. And better with the MF trains, sure, but I enjoyed the front row a lot more than the rear. That's okay, though, because not far from this feral critter is the Lightning Racer.

I still love this ride. So smooth, so good-looking, all the racing and dueling action, a terrific pair of woodies.

Here's Doug and his sister-in-law Callie settling into those heavenly cars.

But, in all honesty, later-model GCIs are even better. LR seemed a tad less fiesty than it did back in the day, in comparison. That said, this is still my favorite racing woodie, easily.
