West Coast Bash 2010
April 5, 2010

But then he started showing us some nifty balancing tricks:

Talented, I tells ya.

And then came the card tricks. Close-up magic is the bomb and he blew us away with his sleight-of-hand mastery. I looked for the misdirection, nothing. And he sure wasn't keeping cards up his sleeves. Dude rocks.

Night falls.

As the sun set, there was more free time before the 10:00 PM ERT, so a bunch of us headed up to the tower museum.

Cozy.

Darrell, Deanna, and the turtle snuggle up in the pimped out Colossus car.

...huh?...

For the life of me, I can't recall just what Doug was doing here, but he is having a good time doing it, and that's the important thing.

Nighttime ERT was stellar, even though Ninja was down and I didn't even make it over to X2 or Terminator, with its special Bash soundtrack. But as part of the Bash package, they raced the Colossus trains, and boy howdy, does that improve the whole experience something fierce. Earlier, though, I did get a nighttime Terminator ride and we noticed something during the wait:

Hidden Kermit!

Look at that gunshot damage on the door: it's a "hidden Kermit!" Sweet! And I'll say again here, SFMM now has a wooden coaster that's worthy of the park's "coaster king" reputation. Terminator Salvation is hands-down California's best woodie, IMHO.

Fire good.

Booyah!

Thanks again to everyone who made this spectacular day possible: The grand folks at Theme Park Review, RideWorld and the simply wonderful people at Six Flags Magic Mountain, from Jay Thomas on down!
