West Coast Bash 2010
April 5, 2010
Lunch was another hearty affair, and I noticed this little detail:
No yellowjackets! Thanks, Six Flags, for the sting-free grub-fest!
After lunch, everyone was free to do what they wanted with the GP, take some more special tours, etc. That was when Doug set up his gear for the podcast, back by Terminator Salvation: The Ride.
Here we are discussing how Magic Mountain has become super-awesome again, among many other things.
Caroline Godsey grabbed a mic and dropped a thermonuclear cute bomb, while proud mom Natalee sang back-up.
Later in the afternoon, there was the big group photo and then the park presentation and Q&A at the Magic Moments theater, always a highlight. Among the disclosures, we heard that the park is well-aware of the unnecessarily tall height restriction that's been announced thus far for the Mr. Six Dance Coaster. Not to worry, it will likely be more in line with what we're expecting by the time it opens. And yes, Superman is missing from the top of his tower, getting a refurb.
There was talk of repainting this ride, too. Sure looks kind of... bizarre... without Supes up on top... hint, nudge, wink.
Monorail track. Not pictured, monorails on said track. As soon as they come up with the budget for it, this track system is toast. The good news? They're mulling over several interesting plans to use the monorail's tunnel through the mountain for something else. Nice! I vote for an Intamin launched coaster.
