West Coast Bash 2012 - Six Flags Magic Mountain, Day One
February 26, 2012

Lunch was served in the pavilions over by Colossus and while it was pretty standard fare (hot dogs, hamburgers and that sort of thing), I thought it was pretty good. Not everyone did. I was hungry.

Didn't ride Ninja during the day, as we were pretty sure it would be available for nighttime ERT, as in the past, though to be fair, it hadn't been announced.

That turned out to be a mistake, which is a bummer, because I hate coming to this park and not riding Ninja. Oh, well, next time for sure.

We did ride Apocalypse: The Ride during the day, which was predictably super-freaking mega-awesome, and it certainly whetted our appetite for a night ride or two, which we knew would be even better.

The new signage, looking groovy.

I know they made an expensive mistake going with the Terminator: Salvation theme its first year or so, and they had to work with what they had for an inexpensive re-theme. But the set-up "story" is still a mystery to me, and the videos are head-scratchingly dopey. Whatever; this is the best wooden coaster in California, by a mile, and there are no more damned "Smurfs: The Movie" posters anywhere. Thank God for that.

Kind of cool that this leftover is still in the gift shop, though. (Can you believe they're developing a fifth Terminator movie? Enough already...)
