West Coast Bash 2011 - Part 2
July 10, 2011

Fiberglass has never made me so giddy.

Like the catacombs of some ancient temple...

Water: essential for life, and log flumes.

Ginormous pumps: essential for moving water.

It really is stunning to see what it takes to make rides work, especially something on the scale of the Timber Mountain Log Ride. Simply amazing.

The other tour of the day was the Windseeker construction site and I'm sorry we missed that. But this one was a highlight I'll never forget. Thanks so much to everyone at Knott's who made these tours possible!

And that about brings this report to a close. Except for this final note, about the feathered critters roaming about The Farm: I learned this trip that these chickens are all indeed wild. Over the years, people have left them here (why, I have no idea) and they have flourished. Geese at The Mountain, chicks at KBF. Symmetry.

Till next year, my friends!
