West Coast Bash 2009

The non-rideable highlight of this year's Bash was the backstage tour of SFMM's Terminator Salvation: The Ride, a GCI bliss factory that is looking mighty sexy. The tour group I was with got a little treat from Mother Nature: five minutes of hail.
Crazy. But the icy pellets didn't chill the mood at all. Tim Burkhart gave a great little lecture about some of the theme elements they were planning, and while he kept many details under wraps, he did share that TS:TR would include props from the movie, lots of pre-show stuff that place the coaster within the Terminator story, and a long, tunneled queue. I admit I was one of the early naysayers when the park announced the name, but I'm getting pretty psyched.
