SO AWESOME.

There were plenty of informative text panels...

...but the many photos and sketches and things were what really made me drool.

Here's Bud Hurlbut, Timber Mountain's creator, going over one of his models with Walter Knott.

And here's The Duke himself, as he was photographed on the ride's original opening day, back in 1924, or something.

I'm guessing I don't have to tell you why this particular photo is legendary...

Yep, it's the one that captured a young Tony Baxter, also at the ride's opening day, just a fanboi in the throngs; Doug's pointing him out. Granted, Tony is a very tall fellow, but still, seems pretty incredible to me that this photo happened.
