Six Flags Over Georgia 2012 Photo Trip Report
March 24, 2013

Seemed to be riding pretty well this trip, if not in tip-top shape.

Headrests... bah.

Anyway, Great American Scream Machine is a must if you visit this park. (I can't imagine why they'd ever give it an Iron Horse makeover, but calling it iGASM would amuse me more than it should. And then I guess we'd refer to the original version as the ORGASM which would amuse me even more, and you'd think I would have matured past that level of humor by now, but no, not yet.)

Can anyone explain why almost all the smaller B&M stand-up coasters kind of blow, but Georgia Scorcher doesn't blow, and is, in fact, pretty damned good? Really, behind Riddler's Revenge, their stand-up masterpiece, Georgia Scorcher is my second-favorite of this ilk (Chang used to be second, but I keep hearing that dis- and reassembly did not do it any favors.)

The Georgia Natural Gas corporate sponsorship is weird to me, but those blue flame lead cars are so groovy.

Yes, this is definitely one of the five-star headliners at this park.

Can you believe "A Few Good Men" came out in 1992? Damn... Anyway, this ad, I can't quite get over how magnificently awful it is. Or maybe there's an inside joke here that only locals get. Is this anthropomorphized flame a recurring character in a GNG ad campaign? Is he known for spouting absurd variations of movie quotes? If I am missing something and you know what it is, please, sincerely, contact and enlighten me.
