Six Flags Over Georgia 2012 Photo Trip Report
March 24, 2013

A traditional dark ride with an original story, entralling environments, unique characters, no "Scooby-Doo" malarky or anything like that... in a Six Flags park. It can be done.

My only criticism: I wish some of this ride's fantastical playfulness made its way to the exterior. Perhaps the budget didn't allow for that. But no matter: it's the inside that really counts, and it's all good on the inside.

Later on, we went through twice and it was a blast both times. Easily one of my favorite rides at this park.

And now, in no particular order, some other recollections of the day:

Acrophobia was closed, and now it's gone forever. I guess part of me is sorry I missed it, but my crotch – and that's one of my most important parts – is not sorry at all.

The Canyon Blaster kiddie coaster is an unremarkable thing, but they sure put great effort into this station; nice! (I don't need or want Six Flags to try and upstage Carsland or anything; just a little skillful art direction and some rockwork and I'm happy as a clam.)

Ask me almost anything about Log Jamboree and my answer will be "...I don't remember..." Except for that there was this drop at the end. It's not a very interesting log flume.

We did not ride the whitewater rapids ride, nor did we cruelly squirt any passing rafts. (I just can't bring myself to do this to strangers. Unless I'm sure I'm about to leave the park and there is no chance I'll run into a victim later.)
