I'm guessing this used to be near Batman.

"Daddy, where are Thomas The Tank Engine and all his friends?"
"I'm sorry, honey, Thomas and his friends had to leave."
"Where did they go, Daddy?"

"They were taken away, and then their heads were cut off, and now they're lying dead in a barren lot somewhere, their unseeing eyes staring blankly into the sky, rotting slowly."

I've never watched much of Thomas The Tank Engine; was Cranky a pretty easygoing character? Or would that irony have been lost on little kids?
