Six Flags Great America 2011 Trip Report
Sept. 20, 2011

Batman was next, and of course, this isn't just any Batman; this is the original, the world's first inverted B&M coaster. A terrific, intense ride, as always, but the park did a bee-you-tiful job with the environment. The little park-slash-queue entrance, the grounds beneath the coaster, top notch through and through. I'd have to say that this is the best looking Batster I've seen.

Walter, Claude, Robert, Jim, you have made the world a better place, gentlemen. Thank you so much.

This is why "Machete don't text."

Does every Batman have a trashed Police cruiser out front? I think so, right? It's hard to see, but beyond the black-and-white, you can make out a bit of the lush "city park" that this Batman flies over. Again, very nicely done.

I prefer the black and grey palette of some of other Batmen, but yellow's okay, too, in accordance with the Burton graphic.

Happy Feet!

I think this is my favorite shot of the day.

Don't recall exactly when we left the park for lunch, but that meal was at "Five Guys," a burger joint I'd heard about from friends back East. Very tasty! I'm an "In-N-Out" man... wait, let me rephrase that... I am devoted to "In-N-Out" hamburgers, but I wouldn't mind it at all if I could eat "Five Guys" on occasion, too. Wait, um... I hope the "Five Guys" franchise makes its way to Southern California.
