Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk Trip Report

Then there are the coasters. And for the kids, there's the Sea Serpent, a Miler Coaster that frolics around a really lush little landscape.

One of the prettier kiddie coasters I've ever seen.

Dig the Mantis color-scheme they chose for the track and supports.

Very cool.

I tell ya, that is one fine-looking kiddie coaster.

Further up on the thrill scale is the Hurricane, a stock S.D.C. model that I like to call the "Crystal Beach Cyclone" of mini-steel coasters.

Small but still kewl

It's certainly not huge, nor nearly as terrifying as the CBC must have been, but there are a couple of insanely steep turns and quick dives that make the Hurricane a worthy player.

Let the fun begin.

Twisty track awaits below.

Wheeeee!

Blue rails, blue sky, baby.

More Wheeeee!

Off and running.

Steepness

Nice and steep, always a pleasure.
