ThrillRide! Special Features

LA County Fair Trip Report
Sept. 19, 2010

Not as exotic, but still one of my favorite critters, the porcupine. Prickly!

Last, but not least, the cutest thing we saw that day, a baby wallaby. AAAAWWW!!1!!11

Then we caught the "tail" end of a doggie action spectacular, with perky pups performing all manner of tricks. DOGSHOW!!!! (I miss that SNL bit...)

Fully refueled, with grub mostly digested, it was back to the carny goodies.

We passed up the Yo-Yo because the kids had seen the Starflyer and were much more interested in that. I had every intention of avoiding the Starflyer...

...so I distracted them with the idea of hitting the flume ride, as it was nice and hot by then. On the way over, they took a quick spin on the Cliff Hanger. Brian looks a bit winded by it.

You know, for a portable, this thing was pretty decent, and we got just wet enough to cool us down. Thumbs up!

Hey, kiddies, you up for some drop tower? Heck, yes! Also very, very decent.

It held us up at the top for a good ten seconds, plenty of anticipatory elevated sightseeing.

Not to go on and on about it, but Audrey, Parker and Brian are eight years old. Far bigger stones than I had at that age.
