The Studio Tour gone bad

Along with the four mazes, "Terror Tram: The Nightmare Tour" is considered a must-do and so we did. It's primarily a conveyance to an extensive walk-through of some of the iconic Universal sets, including the Bates Motel and the War of the Worlds' plane crash site.

No grinch, but that's cool.

You start the hike in front of the Whoville set, with plenty of nasty types lurking around. Fun, but things get better when, just 'round the corner, you find the Bates Motel.

Blondes on the run check in, but they don't check out.

All manner of unpleasantness is happening in the various rooms... and some high schoolers seem to have had some very bad luck. See that poor fellow in the white and green varsity jacket above? Yeah, he's seen better days.

Outside the Psycho House, there's a little mini-maze that's good for a shriek or two.

"Norman?!"

And we get to venture into the woods for a visit to Camp Crystal Lake, where Jason is slicin' and dicin'.

Machetes are bad

Not sure what's happening in this tent, but I'm fairly certain it involved dismemberment.

Makes you never want to camp out again.

More bad news going down in this one, too. And 'Ol Hockey Mask bursts out at ya when you least expect it.

While it was more creepy than scary, the stroll around the WotW wreakage is the highlight.

"De plane, de plane!"

I wouldn't want to spoil the surprises, but know that this area is dressed with some super-gory human remains. And that poor girl on the stretcher? She is not getting the medical attention she needs...

Finally, there's another little taste of the Elm Street terrors, and a look at a tram-load of passengers who maybe should have stayed home:

Just hangin' out
