Castle Park Photo Trip Report
June 24, 2012

Across the way from The King's Crown, a Scrambler. We didn't ride this whirligig, but it looked swell, too.

Wheeee!

We happened to be near this outdoor stage just as the "Cirque Zuma Zuma" show was starting. These incredibly fit and limber acrobats do some pretty amazing things. The crowd ate it up.

They'll be at the park all summer; highly recommended!

This is the park's carousel, a Dentzel "Menagerie" model that is over 100 years old. It first spun at Hersheypark, was brought by Hurlbut to Knott's Berry Farm in the 1950s, and then moved to Castle Park in 1985. A serious piece of amusement park history right there.

These regal beasts stand guard out front. I'll bet there's some interesting trivia related to these lions.

I'm no carousel connoisseur, but this one is sweet.

Love the jester head details.
