Hersheypark 2011 Trip Report
July 27, 2011

They installed some fun scenic elements that put a big plus on the trip.

It's kind of a period Western theme they got going, with Native American touches...

...and ghost town flava.

"Damn kids, get offa my lawn!" says Barber Bill. "Don't make me cut ya!"

"Deadwood, AZ." Hehheh...

Aaah! Scary skeleton! Nice boots, though. (Not so scary: Trailblazer, the park's mine train. Seriously, the shortest mine train I've ever been on. It's not evil or anything, but really only worth it for the credit whoring or if it's a walk-on.)

AAAAAH! Big-ass snake! LOL, he mad...

It's worth mentioning that there's this ginormous and very colorful water play area, new since my last visit. We didn't do anything that involved H2O that day, including this, but it looks like a hoot for a really hot afternoon cool-down. Also worth mentioning here: some of our group tried to get on the Roller Soaker, the interactive inverted water coaster, but the long-ish line was moving at a snail's pace and they bailed. Fun ride, but man, it is not a capacity monster.
