Hooray for Screaming Swings! And look at how well Dollywood dressed theirs up, as The Barnstormer!

I love these rides and if you told me a few years ago that I would, I'd have told you to sod off.

But now that I'm all super-macho about heights (I'm totally not), these are among my favorite flats; The Barnstormer reconfirmed that abundantly. WHEEEE!

There are not a ton of flat rides at Dollywood, but that's okay because Dollywood's overall ride package is absurdly good, quality-wise.

And a unique dark ride is equal to about 50 flat rides, by my math. So we were at Dollywood as Theme Park Review swung through on their East Coast tour and we were graciously allowed to tag along on their walk-through of Blazing Fury. This was a ginormous highlight of the trip.

The rest of the facade, where you exit from the ride, I love it to death.
